ITALIAN QUIZ NIGHT

After our 1st successful quiz event...it's back! Planned and organised by quiz master Colin Sherlock with different themed rounds, always with points and prizes on offer...

The evening comes inclusive of food, this time with an Italian theme...balissimo!!

Teams of 4/6 Cost £10/person Sat 9th May

Seniors benefit from a full range of available activities.
There are various club sessions throughout the week according to membership type, enabling members to meet and play with new peolpe on a regular basis without having to organise their own partners or opposition.
For those who prefer to play in their own groups, a court booking system is in operation.
Group coaching and individual lessons may also be booked with our team of friendly coaches.
For those requiring competitive play, there is the opportunity to play in both internal and external leagues.

The options are shown below. Please click on them for further details.

Membership Types

For seniors, there are 3 types of membership; primetime, daytime and student.

Primetime

This membership allows members to book the courts at any time during opening hours when the courts are not in use for coaching or organised play. We do operate a block booking system on our less popular times, which are reviewed every 6 months. Should you require lighting on the indoor courts, then there would be a small charge to cover the cost.
Primetime membership also offers you the opportunity to join in on up to ten hours of organised play each week held at the centre. This is the perfect chance to meet and play with new people.

Daytime

This membership is for those players looking only to play during the weekdays between the hours of 9 am -   4 pm.
Again, there is opportunity for regular play and integration with two club mornings organised for the Daytime member.

Student

The 16-21 section is a separate club for young adults to come and play and “mix-in” with others of a similar age. We also encourage them to come along to adult mix –ins so they can fully integrate into the club.

Student club for 16 - 21 year olds is on Sundays from 1.30 - 3 pm

Senior Programme Times

Please find below our “new” senior programme for both daytime and primetime members. The coaches have looked at all aspects of the old system that has been in place for some 15 years and decided that it was time to try some alternatives that we have play tested recently. We hope you will enjoy the set-up and encourage others to come along and get involved.

Coaching Times - for the Senior programme

The centre is going to split our coaching sessions into two separate styles of teaching class, so that the coaches can cover different aspects of tennis and help individuals more specifically to improve their game. Both teaching sessions will be invoiced on a 1/2 termly basis with Hampshire state school holidays being the start and end of terms.

The first class will be a “technical/physical” class lasting one hour, using drills similar to our cardio tennis. There will be a maximum of 5 players in each group on one court. The cost of this lesson is £8.00

The second class will be a “tactical/mental training” class lasting 90 minutes. This will be a maximum of 12 ladies across 3 courts. This will be a games based lesson. The cost of this lesson is £6.00

The staff will also be organising some friendly competitions for the daytime and primetime members, so that all the teaching work can be put to good use. The daytime competitions will take place on Mondays with primetime competitions taking place on Sundays. It is hoped to run one event each month.

Monday                         7.00 - 8.00 pm                       primetime (ladies only)
