End of term presentation

A big thank you to all who came to the end of term/year prtesentation for the juniors involved in the coahing program. A full crowd of people watched as the kids received their medals for either winning inter-group competitions or most improved player of the year…. and then we all munched hot dogs and burgers from the BBQ!!!! and gossiped about what was happening over the summer!!   Loads of smiles and high fives 🙂...

Pink week raised £375

A Huge thank you to everyone who got involved with PINK WEEK. I hope you all had fun and a special mention goes to the following people who truinphed at some of the events  that took place: Ladies that lunch: joint winners were…Carolyn W/Webb, Sarah Hinde, Sue Beyfus and Laura Kneller!!!! Super Sunday mixed event was won by Sean Stacey, who also won “best in show” for his pink outfit that he wore and finally to the best dressed Junior… that went to Jack Hayman who was head to toe in pink, must have been his dad’s get up… welll he wins a half hour lesson with Colin for his efforts!!!! Well done to all and once again thenk you for your generosity in raising £375...

Great British Tennis Weekend (part II)

As part of British Tennis’s push to get more people involved in our great sport, we are running another GBTW for people to come along and have ago!!! We are running on Sunday 20th July a “Family Time” and “Free Play” sessions where people can just book on-line at greatbritishtennisweekend.com and come use our courts and there’s no excuse, as we provide equipment to help get you started. Pink week kicks off

As all our memebrs know, the last week of the term at the centre means “Pink week!!!” a week where we raise money for Breast cancer- and it all got started on Tuesday as 18 ladies got together to LUNCH and play tennis… A really good few hours of fun and we raised £120 as a result which will go into the pot… We have another couple of events going on this week, so hopefully we’ll hit the £500 mark.. that will be fantastic and much apprecited by those who are effected by this disease, so a huge thank you to all who get involved...

U12 County Cup National Finals

A fantastic weekend for the boys U12 county cup team, captained by our own manager, Colin and lead on court by our top u12 player Ryan Golesworthy, pictured in the very centre. Under Colin’s watchful eyes the team were runners-up in the national event played over 3 days up in Bolton. On the way to the final, Ryan beat 2 team GB boys and only narrowly lost to a 3rd GB boy 5-10 in the deciding t/break shoot out after 2 hrs of very high quality tennis. It is the first time any U12 Hampshire boys team has made the National finals and to have had 2 people involved from this club is great-  well done...

Hampshire u12 boys qualify for National finals

Ryan Golesworthy from Kingsley TC lead a focused and determined Hampshire team to victory at the qualifying event of the u12 County team event this weekend just gone. It was a fantastic performance with the Hampshire boys winning 10 of their 12 singles matches and overturning an earlier r/robin result against Dorset county in the Final!!! As team coach Colin Jakeway said that the boys played to an extremely high level and did themselves justice.. we came in as the highest ranked team and we showed why that was, we were simply stronger in every way especially when the pressure was on and it mattered most.. a fab weekend which we will take with us up to the national finals in Bolton in 2 weeks...
